Surgical Tech PRN Labor and Delivery

Job Description:

• The surgical technologist is a technically trained person who functions as a member of the surgical team and performs under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in the Operating Room.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or higher.

• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program required within 6 months of hire.

• Good clinical, organizational, communication, customer service and critical thinking skills required.

• Ability to work in a stressful environment required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree preferred.

• BLS preferred upon hire; required within 90 days.

• Recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in an Acute Care Facility preferred.
