Our Team

You'll be an essential part of our dynamic safety team, creating real value while rapidly gaining hands-on experience in crucial areas like general safety, industrial hygiene, emergency response, and construction safety. As part of our Entry Level Safety Professional team, you'll not only see the day-to-day operations of your host facility, you'll also have the unique opportunity to network, collaborate, and travel to various sites across Koch Industries.

What You Will Do

Your experiences will be customized based on your personal interests, strengths, and the unique needs of your role. Whether you're passionate about industrial hygiene, emergency response, or construction safety, this role offers limitless opportunities to dive deep into areas that excite you while challenging you to move outside of your comfort zone.   • Assist with frontline safety operations by dividing into safe work practices like work permitting, energy control, hot work, and confined space entry
  • Proactive problem-solving by spotting and fixing issues in the field or being a part of project planning
  • Conducting industrial hygiene surveys and exposure monitoring
  • Supporting day-to-day safety initiatives at your host site and traveling to other locations to support larger projects, turnarounds, key initiatives, and audits
  • Participating in incident investigations and emergency response drills.
  • Forming relationships with not only the safety team, but also operations, maintenance, contractors, and site and corporate leadership.
  • Benefiting from a site-based Safety Mentor and Corporate Supervisor who will guide you every step of the way.
  • Approximately 10-20% company-sponsored travel to various Koch locations.
Position Locations:
A choice of host locations of Rosemount, MN; Corpus Christi, TX; Beatrice, NE; Dodge City, KS; and Enid, OK.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Enrolled in a degree or alternative program. (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)
  • Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2024.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Enrolled in an Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health - Industrial Hygiene/Environmental Health or Industrial Engineering related degree program.
