Job Description

The UMKC School of Nursing and Health Studies is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to support the following programs:

  • Bachelor of Health Sciences
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Adjunct faculty will use effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques; teaching and modeling appropriate level learning skills and creating an environment conducive to learning. Primarily responsible for communicating with students and other university staff related to teaching and learning.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a field that contributes to thorough understanding of course content
  • Record of quality teaching at the university level
  • Experience in integrating technology in teaching and scholarly activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and interest in, diverse cultures and populations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education, qualifications, and program assignment.

Other Information

Part-time, non-benefit eligible, academic position. Shifts vary depending on course schedule.
