The Department of History, Rutgers University-New Brunswick, invites applications for Part-Time Teaching for an undergraduate course in the History of Modern Greece, covering the Greek experience under Ottoman rule; revolution and independence; and development of the national state and society 1830s to the present. This is a face-to-face (not online) introductory course, upper division level. As the instructor of record, a Part-Time Teaching hire is responsible for preparing the course syllabus, delivering lectures and leading discussions, assessing student work in a timely manner, providing consultation with students, responding to student emails, and submitting final course grades to the registrar.

Minimum Education and Experience

Master's degree in Modern European History, with focus on Greece, required; Ph.D.in Modern European History, with focus on Greece, preferred. Previous teaching experience preferred.
