Description & Requirements

Forvis Mazars is seeking a Senior Manager to assist with managing our growing unclaimed property tax practice. The qualified candidate should have experience within unclaimed property compliance and consulting (including voluntary disclosures and controversy matters) in multiple jurisdictions. Further, the qualified candidate should also have strong project management skills and the ability to train and develop other team members.

How you will contribute:

  • Managing large unclaimed property engagements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintaining a compliance calendar and assisting clients with compliance needs
  • Representing clients undergoing unclaimed property audits
  • Assisting clients with voluntary disclosures in multiple jurisdictions
  • Advise and consult with clients on various unclaimed property matters
  • Coach and mentor unclaimed property team
  • Build relationships with clients and prospects

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

  • Strong project management and practice development skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • An ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels both verbally and in writing
  • Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Active CPA license or other professional designation
  • 7 years or more of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an advanced understanding of MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business, tax, or law
  • Experience with CCH Intelliconnect, RIA Checkpoint, and/or BNA Tax research software
