The Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology Job Description
The Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology, University of Missouri invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position (Assistant to Full Professor ranks). It is expected that the candidate will contribute to undergraduate, graduate and/or medical student educational initiatives and will direct a highly productive and collaborative research program that is maintained by continued significant extramural funding. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree in physiology, pharmacology, or related fields Candidates will be evaluated on: Significant extramural funding. Candidates who (i) are able to integrate molecular and cellular approaches and apply basic findings to impact human health in an effective "discovery-to-care continuum", (ii) will contribute to a culture of innovation, and (iii) can provide expertise that contributes to expansion of School of Medicine-wide programmatic initiatives in vascular biology, cardiac myocyte biology, and tissue repair research. Candidates with expertise in computational modeling and how inflammation, diabetes, cancer, aging, gut microbiome or gender regulates the cardiovascular system. Application Materials
