Job Description

The role of the Mold Maintenance Technician entails providing comprehensive plant-wide assistance aimed at optimizing operational performance. This is achieved through tasks such as mold cleaning, facilitating mold setup, and addressing mold-related troubleshooting.Starting Pay - Minimum $26.00 per hour.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Clean, ice blast and grease all molds and mold components (follow Work Instructions for some molds)
  • Clean excess grease from injection molding presses (tie bars, rails, etc.)
  • Clean excess parts from injection molding presses (frame, rails, conveyors, etc.)
  • Disassemble/assemble molds from sets, clean, organize and store
  • Press and auxiliary equipment cleaning (press platen, additive feeders, etc.)
  • Monthly carrier cleaning and greasing maintenance
  • Perform weekly safety inspections on the tool room overhead cranes
  • Perform monthly safety audits on the tool room flammable cabinets
  • Follow and enhance 5S - Sort, Shine, Set in Order, Standardize, Sustain
  • Perform small machining tasks
  • And other responsibilities and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma. Preferred 2-year degree in Mold Tech.

Experience: Experience with injection molding or having a technical machining background desirable Preferred

experience with mold tech, mold setting, and press start-ups.

Specific skills: Mechanical, hydraulics, and electrical. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Attention to

detail and design to learn.

Equipment & Machinery: Injection Molding presses and machines.

Computer Experience: Basic computer skills required.

Pay Range

Minimum $26.00 per hour
