As a Correctional Counselor you will provide a safe, secure, consistent environment for adult males residing in a community correctional halfway house. In this role you will be responsible to implement and monitor program components and procedures relating to house rules and encourage and support residents for positive decisions and personal accountability. You must maintain good communication with all residents and staff and keep order and security in the house by monitoring residents' whereabouts, screening visitors, enforcing regulations, and reminding residents of expectations related to sobriety, hygiene, household duties/rules and program participation. You will provide crisis intervention when necessary; identify and resolve/de-escalate minor conflicts by continuous observation and early intervention and perform urinalysis and/or Breathalyzer tests on residents as needed. You will log all phone information, important events/ issues while on duty and communicate important information to other staff members verbally and in writing regarding resident behaviors, health, location or other issues. $1,000 Hiring Bonus!
