As a Performance Engineer (Test Cell), you'll use your sound understanding of the underlying theoretical principles and concepts associated with the subject area and an understanding of the relation of these to the responsibilities of the job.

What you'll do:

- Performs engineering troubleshooting related to engine performance including analyzing problems, performing engineering calculations and communicating solutions to appropriate staff.

- Designs, implements and maintains diagnostic test cell tools and analysis toolkit.

- Performs trend monitoring of engine test cell and engine performance.

- Troubleshoots engine vibration occurrences using advanced signature analysis methods.

- Controls test cell correlation activities and engine performance data reduction software methods.

- Provides engineering troubleshooting support to service centre networks.

- Prepares guidelines for the determination of engine build criteria.

- Serves as business unit liaison with central engineering on test cell facilities issues, including identifying facilities needs of the business unit and coordinating specifications and procurement.

- Serves as the prime contact with the original equipment manufacturer for the interchange of strategic engineering data.

- Prepares detailed technical reports in order to document information related to the understanding of relevant technology.

- Coordinates activities with the Central Performance Engineering team.

- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting any unsafe practices/conditions.

- Carries out special projects as assigned.

What skills you will use:

- 3+ years of related work experience representing continuous learning.

- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.

- Working knowledge of measuring instruments.

- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.

- Skilled in data analysis and querying.

- University degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering; or equivalent.
