We're hiring an Instructional Designer!

The Instructional Designer will design and develop high-impact, scalable learning experiences using blended modalities and technologies in support of enterprise-wide leadership and professional development programs, change management initiatives and functional and system process enhancements.

What you will be doing in this role:

  • Lead internal project intake processes, assessing how learning can meet the business needs and recommending solutions that will support performance and behavior change.

  • Design innovative solutions to close knowledge and skill gaps through learning and advanced use of technology.

  • Develop learning and performance solutions by facilitating subject matter expert input, researching external sources of knowledge, or a combination of both.

  • Manage stakeholders and subject matter experts in the content development process, ensuring alignment, engagement, and expectation management.

  • Design and develop learning materials, including eLearning modules, PowerPoint presentations, on-demand training, job aids, infographics, etc., using tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, Vyond, and similar tools.

  • Apply ADDIE instructional design methodologies to create optimal learner experience and the intended user experience.

  • Complete projects within established timelines and scope.

  • Edit and proofread work for accuracy, completeness, and quality prior to review by others.

  • Assist with continuous course maintenance and improvement, ensuring content remains current and courses remain workable on Bright Horizons' learning management system.

  • Create assessments and use evaluation strategies to measure training effectiveness and ensure alignment to outcomes.

  • Work with outside vendors to update and develop existing and new eLearning courses.

What we hope you will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in instructional design, graphic design, education, journalism, English, communications, or marketing - Preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in learning design, instructional design, curriculum development, graphic design, or equivalent in a corporate environment - Required

Additional Job Requirements
  • Must have experience in administrative or learning areas.

  • Must have high proficiency with computers and technology and experience developing multi-media-based training.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; command of English, Plain Language standards, and published style guides required.

  • Must have familiarity with online training development tools.

  • Must be able to work effectively with various personalities and communication styles, and be empathetic to the needs of different customers.

  • Must have demonstrated the ability to juggle multiple projects, set priorities and stick to them.

  • Must be able to learn information quickly, work independently and effectively under pressure..

  • Must be flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks on a collaborative team.

  • Must be willing to learn the Bright Horizons business and early care and education subject matter.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $74,000

The range of compensation listed here or that may be discussed in the interview process is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
