This role within the Finance group is responsible for support of Delivery, Video, Residential Partnerships, Residential Emerging Products & Services business. In addition, this role will serve as the Financial Subject Matter Expert regarding all aspects of services modeling. Duties include creating and managing the deployment of new service and emerging business financial models. This role cultivates and owns the financial modeling for customer lifetime value. This individual partners with the leaders of the businesses to provide financial leadership. Partner support activities include providing financial and management support for strategic initiatives to ensure the business unit achieves its goals and objectives. This includes annual budgets, forecasts, strategic planning, new product development and various ad-hoc business analysis.
Manage the activities of one or more Financial Analysts; mentor and develop team members by providing performance improvement guidance, training and development opportunities for skill building Oversee and ensure accuracy of all financial results, analyses and forecasts; drive compliance to policies and controls; facilitate purchase order management and cost center budgeting Manage to financial assessment and analysis of assigned business unit component strategic initiatives/objectives in partnership with GM; champion behaviors to achieve strategic initiatives Provide recommendations and counsel to the GM on the efficacy of new initiatives and opportunities as the business explores growth opportunities Lead development of business case models for Emerging, Delivery, Connected Services opportunities, ensure models are consistent with practices used for NPD projects Manage initiatives to ensure Chamberlain Group financial systems and data sources are able to transact and recognize revenue and costs of new connected services businesses Assess periodic reporting and analysis needs for business performance management; develop and modify the standardized periodic reporting; drive consistency in definition of business/financial terms and metrics Deliver financial decision support, assist product management with key metrics and trends Develop lifetime value models for end consumers and commercial customers that include services revenues, partner revenues and product revenues Drive the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for the Delivery, Connected Services businesses, and Emerging Business to ensure budgets and forecasts are aligned with strategic direction; ensure compliance to planning calendar timelines and that department managers have spend forecasts/plans in line with annual budget Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company's policies Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Chamberlain Group mission, vision and values.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum 8 years of experience supporting a business unit in a consumer durables company Prior experience in NPD finance support &/or Sales/Marketing or Business Unit Finance Past experience working with financial business models and investment measures such as NPV and IRR Experience with ERP systems and planning tools Experience building complex and well controlled business case models using MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters in Business Administration and CMA/CPA Product or Service costing SAP and Business Intelligence
