What makes this role important at Ipsos?

The Senior Research Analyst will be an integral part of the Mystery Shopping team specializing in Mystery Shop Data for the Retail Mobile division. Operating under a dotted line to the Senior Manager of Competitive Intelligence at Samsung, you'll be employed by Ipsos with flexibility for local candidates in the DFW area. The successful candidate will hold considerable responsibilities and play a significant role in the maintenance and growth of long term client relationships. The role will be involve frequent direct contact with clients on location and will consist of specific on site tasks that are vital for account success.

What you can expect to be doing:



  • Focus on executional excellence with increased independence
  • Support multiple projects and gradually builds increased responsibility and independence
  • Understand the project lifecycle and manages projects from client approval to deliverables with project lead oversight
  • Collaborate with internal partners and project lead in project execution
  • Manage project timelines
  • Work with senior team members to understand the business needs of the client and translate them into an appropriate research design
  • Support multiple projects/priorities and work towards resolving problems that arise
  • Write shopper questionnaires and quizzes
  • Test survey materials and data portal updates
  • Work closely with colleagues in our field and tech teams on all aspects of research execution
  • Accept responsibility for the accuracy, thoroughness, quality, and timeliness of client deliverables
  • As role progresses there may be opportunities to serve as the day-to-day lead on small projects
  • Participate in mentorship of new Analysts and Interns. This may include shadowing on projects and providing guidance on tasks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage internal project partners with increased independence, in order to help keep the project/tasks on schedule and within scope
  • Participate in initiatives that support our service line (i.e. growth/new product/employee training & engagement).


This might be the job for you if you have:



  • Have a background with quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies
  • Have experience with questionnaire design, sampling approaches, and tabulation planning


Ideal Candidate has the Following Skills & Experience



  • Completed Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 1-2 years of market research experience; customer experience research an asset
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite; specifically, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Superior organizational skills, unflagging attention to detail & demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
  • Data savvy with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic knowledge of SPSS and/or other quantitative reporting tools
  • Prior experience using Sassie or any other related mystery shopping platforms a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientation
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-faceted project budgets and to create, manage, and commit to a project plan, schedule and budget
  • Highly motivated, self-directed & possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines
  • Thrives within a team environment
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills
