Substance Use Counselor Psych-ZSFG-Adult-CWCM Full Time 80415BR Job Summary With general supervision from the STOP Behavioral Health Psychiatric Supervisor 2 (a licensed behavioral health clinician), the social work associate provides substance use disorders services. We use evidence-based, culturally responsive, trauma-informed practices including level of care assessments, treatment planning/problem list updates, individual and group counseling, collateral/family services, recovery incentives (point of care urine drug testing with incentives based on results), coordination with prescribing clinicians, case management, and community outreach. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range. The largest of these, the Division of Citywide Case Management, provides intensive clinical case management and other behavioral health services designed for adults with serious mental illness.
