MongoDB's mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build anywhere-on the edge, on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 developers joining MongoDB every month, it's no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

This role is part of the leadership team for the MongoDB Education Engineering Department, which includes the MongoDB Documentation platform team, MongoDB University (online learning) platform team, and Education AI team. The charter of MongoDB Education is to get millions of people to learn MongoDB. We view learning as a multidimensional journey as different people learn differently and we want to reach learners where they are and with their learning preference. We offer multiple learning experiences today including "read it", "watch it", "try it", "achieve it" and now "ask it" using AI technology.

In this role, you will lead the Documentation Platform Engineering team. The Documentation Platform delivers 60M page views a year and is critical to our users' understanding of MongoDB products. You will manage a team of engineers who bring in the "best of class" technologies into our infrastructures, integrate them and also develop apps/extensions to meet our learning vision and needs.

This role can be based out of one of our offices in Canada or the USA, or remotely in Canada or the USA.

  • Successful track record in leading technical projects
  • Ability to work at a strategic level to contribute to the vision of Education and also at a tactical level to move projects forward
