Actively seeking candidates with significant FP&A/corporate finance experience for immediate consideration

Opportunity at a Glance

The Finance Manager provides financial analysis and business development support to the Company's new and existing businesses. The Finance Manager will be responsible for developing business plans for new and existing business opportunities. They will also provide financial analyses for senior management decision support and corporate strategic planning. This position will report to the Finance Director and have dotted line responsibilities, including communication and coordination with various required processes and systems, with campus, and other locations within Adtalem Medical and home office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees financial statement reporting for month end close, forecasts, annual operating plan, strategic plan and ad hoc requests.
  • Manages financial consolidations.
  • Manages forecast and annual operating plan process.
  • Develop and maintain financial monthly reporting tools and works in collaboration with reporting team to develop reporting for revenue, expense and student program tracking.
  • Present recommendations to senior leadership team of the division, including rationale and requirements of success, challenges to market entry, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Works with all facets of Adtalem Medical to identify opportunities to provide financial analysis for management decision support.
  • Drives the investigation and development of new business opportunities including market analysis, business plans, and financial models.
  • Performs ad hoc financial modeling projects to support existing and new business opportunities.
  • Develops detailed financial models of existing and new divisions.
  • Develops and drives application of key performance measures to enhance performance improvement.
  • Provides on-going support and training of accounting system to various users.
  • Provides on-going maintenance of accounting system and financial reports.
  • Manages financial system upgrades, implementation and conversion initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field Required and
  • MBA Preferred
  • 5+ years progressive experience with financial analysis or corporate finance. Required
  • Must draw from solid financial planning experience and business acumen to quickly understand, analyze and address business results and issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication is essential for this role
  • Must have the ability to concisely/effectively communicate with manager and key constituents in formal and informal settings.
  • Possesses professional maturity to work with key constituents/business partners in tactfully exploring win-win situations when resolving issues.
  • Has capacity to work independently and manage time efficiently/effectively.
  • Significant exposure in a finance planning position.
  • Strong analytic capability and propensity for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent time management and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to operate independently
