Inside the Role

SelecTrucks of New England is looking for a highly energetic, self-motivated individual for the position of Fleet Sales Specialist to assist customers in finding the right product for their commercial needs. As a fleet sales representative at SelecTrucks of New England, you will be responsible for managing retail customer accounts, developing, and maintaining business relationships, and communicating our value proposition to fleets in our AOR. This position is geared toward those who enjoy a fast paced, but flexible work environment with a base salary, and a great commission structure.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • With the support of management, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective fleet customers in the assigned territory.
  • Utilize prospecting tools to qualify new customers; identify and establish contact with target customers via phone calls and in-person customer visits.
  • Develop and present clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Effectively manage the sales process to ensure successful delivery of equipment to retail customers.
  • Proficiency in communicating the SelecTrucks value proposition.
  • Works with management to solve customer problems and complaints before and after the sale.
  • Utilize CRM to communicate and document daily activities and efforts with management.
  • Adhere to a weekly schedule as directed by Center Manager initially.
  • Time management: properly manage your day-to-day workload of prospecting, customer visits, and truck deliveries.
  • Achieve monthly and yearly sales goals (management to define).
  • Create and manage successful relationships with all SelecTrucks and Daimler employees.
  • Our dealership is in Shrewsbury, MA. Day travel throughout the Northeast will be required.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS/BA or 5 -7 years of sales or industry related relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Excellent Customer Experience skills
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work with others and manage interpersonal relationships in a team environment required.
  • Computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Excellent written and communication skills required.
  • Professional appearance and conduct required.
  • Class B CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required.
  • An attached resume is required.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • 5-7 years of transportation experience preferred
  • Ability to negotiate in a multicultural business environment
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred
