Staff Research Associate Laboratory Medicine Full Time 78686BR Job Summary The incumbent will work on translational science research projects within the Applied Genomics CLIA laboratory. The AG CLIA laboratory services the I-SPY 2 breast cancer clinical trials that characterize biomarkers of response to various therapies. The biological specimens collected will be used for various assays, including: immunohistochemical markers, genomic profiling, gene expression, proteomic arrays, serum proteomics, and various protein tests. These clinical trials provide the opportunity for the molecular characterization of locally advance breast cancers and the measurement of tumor response to therapy with MRI. These tests are performed in the areas of chemistry, hematology or blood, immunology, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, toxicology and transfusion medicine. Laboratories are located at our China Basin, Mount Zion and Parnassus campuses. These labs perform more than 4.2 million tests a year. Required Qualifications SRA 1:
