Salary range:
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $252,000 - $272,400. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

Faculty Positions in General Internal Medicine. The Division of General Internal Medicine (https://gim.ucsd.edu) in the Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu) at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is actively recruiting Academic Physicians to join the ambulatory clinical practice at UCSD General Internal Medicine.

We are seeking physicians committed to delivering excellent patient care, often integrated with regular medical student and resident educational opportunities, and meaningful quality improvement efforts.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality training and teaching, the clinical care of patients and/or research.

Candidates adaptable to new and emerging technologies, interested in chronic disease management and research/scholarly activities are encouraged to apply.

The appropriate series and appointment will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have a MD, DO or equivalent and must be Board certified or Board eligible in Internal Medicine.

Candidates must also be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
