We are Systems, LLCa leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. Wecontinue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

Job Summary:

As a Welder, you will weld and assemble different pieces by using hand-held welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures. You will utilize different materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, and tubing), and prepare and complete work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of MIG welding, handheld plasma machines, and cutting torches using cutting steel, acetylene, and other cutting methods

  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques, material characteristics, and structural fundamentals

  • Able to endure prolonged standing and deal with various environmental conditions from seasonal changes

  • Attention to detail

  • No prior experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with solid core wires and argon / oxygen welding gasses

  • Prior experience MIG welding of structural steel and plate

  • Able to perform GMAW process

  • Understand weld sizes, types, and functionalities in relation to metal-to-metal fusion

  • Able to read weld prints and layouts, and other duties assigned

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Test and inspect welded components to ensure they meet set specifications before moving to the next department

  • Work from different specifications and shop orders

  • Utilize ruler, square, templates, and gauges to take and read measurements

  • Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables

  • Report damages on machines and equipment; maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

  • Report all unsafe conditions to management

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams

  • This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group
