Work Schedule:

100% FTE, days. This is a hybrid position. When in person, you will be located at 4621 Eastpark Boulevard in Madison, WI.

Behavioral Health Providers at UW Health promote well-being, healing, and recovery

We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician, Clinical Psychologist or Health Psychologist to:



  • Evaluate and treat patients referred by oncology with medical and mental health concerns, requiring short term behavioral interventions.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals as well as patients to design specific goals for brief treatment.
  • Coordinate patient care with oncology team, supportive services and palliative care, as needed. Include family members as requested by patient.
  • Provide consultation to patient and family using evidenced based treatment modalities.
  • Utilize screening measures to monitor progress and outcomes to assess benefits of treatment.

If Mental Health Clinician:

Education:

Minimum - Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling

Preferred -

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year of experience providing evidence-based treatments for a variety of mental health and behavioral diagnoses for children, adolescents, and adults

Preferred - Three (3) years of experience providing evidence-based treatments for a variety of mental health and behavioral diagnoses for children, adolescents, and adults

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -



  • Licensed as a Mental Health provider as required in the State of Wisconsin (i.e., Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor-LPC, Licensed Clinical Social Worker-LCSW, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-LMFT)
  • CPR/BLS


If Clinical Psychologist:

Education:

Minimum - Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Psychology (Psy.D.) in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year of postdoctoral supervised clinical experience

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -



  • Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in Wisconsin
  • Basic Life Support/CPR


If Clinical Health Psychologist:

Education:

Minimum - Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or related field

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year of post-doc experience in the area of Behavioral Health in a medical setting

Preferred - One (1) year of clinical experience or two (2) years of post-doctoral experience in the area of Health Psychology in a medical setting

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -



  • Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice
  • CPR/BLS
