Clinical Educator - Medical Surgical Areas

RWJBH is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for our Medical Surgical Areas at the New Brunswick campus. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling; Monday through Friday with some weekend commitment requirement 40hours per week.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Sound Medical Surgical experience of at least 5 years
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Active NJ Registered Professional Nurse
• BLS and ACLS required
• BSN required
• MSN preferred or must be enrolled in MSN program
• National certification for clinical specialty required
• Proficient computer skills

Responsibilities:

• Plan and design orientation, continuing education, and in-service programs in accordance with the requirements of NJ Board of Nursing current regulatory guidelines and the Code of Ethics and institutional guidelines.
• Implement and evaluate educational activities/programs
• Develop and maintain employee records
• Serve as a resource person for education and promoted education in the Nursing Division,
• Responsible for maintaining competencies as required by regulatory agencies
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and deliver education to ensure quality and best practice
