Job Responsibilities

Safely operate a paratransit vehicle in a 24/7 operation.
Assist passengers boarding and exiting vehicles.
Transport seniors and individuals with disabilities safely and professionally.
Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using proper securement procedures.
Escort passengers to and from the first portal of pickup and drop-off locations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and passengers.
Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring passenger safety.

$2,000 Hiring Bonus available to all newly hired Paratransit Drivers. Bonus payout subject to company terms and conditions.

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

21 years or older.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
Current valid driver's license for least five (5) years.
Clean driving record (No more than one (1) moving violations in five (5) years) and a reliable employment history.
Sincere desire to work with the general public, especially the elderly and people with disabilities.
Knowledge of the local city area.
Comfort with maps and GPS systems
Possess excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Teamsters Health Clinic while actively working

Retirement Benefits: 401k with company match

Personal Days Off: 2 days after completing 1 year, 3 days after 3 years, 4 days after completing 5 years of employment contingent upon appropriate attendance.

Sick time: 40 hours of paid after 12 months of employment

Jury Duty: Up to 5 paid days of jury duty service after 12 months of employment

Bereavement Leave: up to 3 days for qualifying family members

Paid Holidays: 8 paid holidays

Driver Vacation Time:

1-2 completed years of service shall earn five (5) days (40 hours) of vacation per year.

3 completed years of service shall earn ten (10) days (80 hours) of vacation per year.

4 or more completed years of service shall earn fifteen (15) days (120 hours) of vacation per year.

10 or more completed years of service shall earn twenty (20) days (160 hours) of vacation per year.
