Role description

FACETS Developer

The Role

UST is seeking experienced FACETS full stack developers with strong healthcare payer and TriZetto FACETS expertise, combined with hands-on full-stack application development, Microsoft Azure cloud, API and integration, database, and CI/CD engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate works across the complete technology stack and takes ownership across the end-to-end software development lifecycle, rather than focusing only on FACETS configuration or backend development.

What You'll Do

* Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications and solutions integrated with the TriZetto FACETS platform.

* Develop solutions across the full application stack, including front-end components, backend services, APIs, database components, integrations, and cloud-based services.

* Build and maintain applications and services using .NET/C# and modern web-development technologies.

* Design and develop REST APIs, web services, microservices, and integration components connecting FACETS with enterprise applications and external systems.

* Develop, deploy, and support applications and services on Microsoft Azure.

* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, code-quality checks, deployment, and release processes.

* Work with source-control and branching strategies using Git and Azure DevOps.

* Participate in the complete SDLC, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, unit and integration testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.

* Develop and support custom FACETS extensions, interfaces, integrations, and application components.

* Deliver solutions across one or more FACETS functional areas: Provider, Network Management & Pricing Group, Membership, Billing & Class/Plan Configuration, and Claims Processing & Encounters.

* Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, database objects, and data-validation processes.

* Support FACETS batch-job development, troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization.

* Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex application, integration, database, cloud, and production issues.

* Collaborate with business analysts, architects, product owners, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and business SMEs to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

* Participate in system integration testing, UAT support, release management, deployment, and post-production validation.

* Support FACETS implementations, upgrades, regulatory initiatives, cloud modernization, and application transformation programs.

* Follow Agile engineering practices and actively participate in sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and technical design discussions.

* Apply appropriate secure coding, code review, logging, monitoring, and application engineering best practices.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need

Required

* 7+ years of overall IT experience.

* Minimum 5+ years of hands-on TriZetto FACETS development experience.

* Experience working in healthcare payer environments.

* Demonstrated experience as a full-stack engineer, with responsibility across application development, databases, integrations, cloud deployment, and CI/CD.

* Strong development experience in the TriZetto FACETS platform.

* Hands-on experience in one or more FACETS functional areas: Provider, Networks & Pricing Group, Membership, Billing & Class/Plan, and Claims & Encounters.

* Strong understanding of FACETS front-end functionality, batch processes, backend data models, and configuration and extensions.

* Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills.

* Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core application development.

* Experience developing backend application components, business services, APIs, and integration services.

* Experience developing modern web/front-end applications, preferably using frameworks such as Angular or React, together with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

* Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and web services.

* Understanding of application architecture, design patterns, reusable components, error handling, logging, and application security.

Preferred

* Experience working in Blue Cross Blue Shield healthcare environments.

* Experience with FACETS upgrades and modernization programs.

* Experience modernizing legacy FACETS-integrated applications using .NET and Microsoft Azure.

* Experience with JIRA and Agile/Scrum delivery.

* Knowledge of healthcare interfaces, APIs, web services, and healthcare data exchanges.

* Understanding of secure software-development practices and cloud application security.

* Exposure to automated unit, integration, and regression testing.

* Relevant Microsoft Azure certification is a plus.
