Job Summary Summary Responsible for performing a variety of sheet metal tasks including fabrication, installation, and maintenance of sheet metal products and systems. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools according to project specifications. Install sheet metal products such as ducts, gutters, and flashing. Weld, solder, and rivet sheet metal products together. Inspect sheet metal products for defects and repair as necessary. Maintain and repair sheet metal products and systems. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Follow safety guidelines and regulations when working with sheet metal. Operate and maintain sheet metal equipment and tools. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Experience working in the construction industry 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. - Experience using sheet metal tools and equipment. - Familiarity with welding, soldering, and riveting techniques. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces. - Physically able to lift and carry heavy sheet metal products and equipment. - Basic computer skills.
