Job Description Role - Data Governance Lead Location - Phoenix, Arizona Experience Required - 8-14 years Job Summary The Data Governance Lead will drive data lineage and metadata management initiatives, establishing end-to-end visibility of critical data assets. This role supports analytics, reporting, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance requirements. The position collaborates with technology teams and business stakeholders to facilitate cross-functional discussions and drive enterprise adoption. Must Have Technical/Functional Skills Data governance Metadata management Data lineage Data catalog Roles & Responsibilities Develop and maintain end-to-end data lineage across source systems, data platforms, analytical environments, and reporting layers. Collaborate with engineering teams to automate lineage capture and visualization. Support regulatory, audit, and risk management requirements through transparent data traceability. Identify critical data elements and establish lineage frameworks for key business domains. Lead the implementation and adoption of enterprise metadata management capabilities. Define and maintain business, technical, and operational metadata standards. Drive the onboarding of critical data assets into the enterprise data catalog. Establish governance processes for metadata stewardship, ownership, and lifecycle management. Ensure metadata remains accurate, current, and aligned with business processes.
