Job Summary

The Material Handler I is responsible for accurately moving, receiving, storing, and distributing production materials and parts throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility. This role requires hands-on experience operating a stand-up reach truck and other material handling equipment to support production schedules, inventory accuracy, and timely material delivery. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and experienced in warehouse operations and computerized inventory transactions.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up reach truck to move, store, retrieve, and transport materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Receive, inspect, and put away incoming deliveries in designated storage locations.
• Pick and issue parts and materials according to production orders and job requirements.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, trailers, and external carrier vehicles.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, pallet stackers, walkie riders, and cranes, as qualified.
• Complete inventory transactions and update company systems and databases accurately and promptly.
• Ensure materials are delivered to the correct production locations in accordance with operational requirements.
• Inspect completed parts for compliance with plant quality standards and make necessary adjustments when authorized.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support material tracking activities.
• Keep warehouse and production areas clean, organized, safe, and efficient.
• Follow established safety procedures and material handling guidelines.

Job Requirements

• Previous hands-on experience operating a stand-up reach truck; required.
• Experience moving, storing, and retrieving materials in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely load and unload delivery trucks and transport production materials.
• Familiarity with inventory transactions, warehouse systems, and material tracking procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy and product quality.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment.
• Ability to operate additional material handling equipment as required, subject to appropriate training and authorization.
