Job Duties Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport products to customer locations. Load, secure, unload, and verify materials prior to and during deliveries. Review delivery tickets and ensure accurate orders are delivered to the correct locations. Provide professional customer service while making deliveries and representing the company. Assist warehouse personnel with pulling, staging, loading, and organizing customer orders. Inspect vehicles before and after routes and report maintenance or safety concerns. Follow DOT, company, and road-safety requirements. Obtain customer signatures and documentation confirming deliveries. Handle building materials and supplies, including lifting and moving heavy items when necessary. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any delivery issues or delays to management. Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and properly maintained. Experience Requirements Previous delivery driving, warehouse, material handling, or building supply experience preferred. Clean driving record required. Familiarity with the Tuscaloosa area and surrounding routes is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Experience handling plumbing, HVAC, construction, or building supply materials preferred. Safe driving history with a strong commitment to defensive driving practices. Ability to inspect vehicles, identify safety concerns, and complete required documentation. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and proper cargo securement when applicable. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules. Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Physical Capabilities Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload building materials and supplies safely. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the workday. Must be able to work in both warehouse and outdoor environments. Ability to safely move heavy materials while following safety procedures.
