Marketing Operations & Automation Specialist 6+ month contract (W2 ONLY, NO C-C) South San Francisco, CA (Hybrid) Position Summary Our client (confidential) is seeking a Marketing Operations & Automation Specialist to support both marketing operations and digital campaign execution. This is a hands-on, tactical role focused on building, maintaining, and improving scalable marketing workflows-while ensuring campaigns are executed on time, accurately, and with high quality. You'll serve as the operational backbone of the marketing team by helping improve process efficiency, data flow across systems, reporting visibility, and adoption of automation and emerging technologies (including AI). Key Responsibilities Own day-to-day marketing operations execution and optimization, including building and improving automated workflows across platforms such as Eloqua, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and CRM integrations. Manage marketing data operations: upload/process lists, routing, segmentation support, and data quality using tools such as RingLead (or similar). Apply and experiment with AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and scalability, including: Workflow automation Content generation support AI-assisted video/content creation Build and maintain dashboards and performance reporting by integrating data across marketing and analytics platforms. Ensure reporting is actionable and aligned to campaign goals and business objectives. Partner with marketing leadership to evaluate, implement, and optimize marketing technology tools and operational processes. Build and update landing pages using no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Ion or similar). Support email marketing campaigns end-to-end (build, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, QA). Assist with digital advertising campaign support, including asset coordination, tracking setup, monitoring, and performance measurement. Maintain documentation, best practices, and process guidelines to enable repeatable, scalable execution. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). 3-5 years of experience in marketing operations, digital marketing, or campaign execution. Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms such as: Eloqua, HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or similar Working knowledge of: Marketing analytics & measurement Data integration and multi-platform reporting Experience using AI tools in marketing or demonstrated ability to quickly learn/apply new AI and automation tools. Understanding of integrations between marketing automation + CRM + web + analytics tools. Experience configuring and optimizing automation workflows, segmentation, and campaign setup. Experience with email campaigns, landing pages, and paid digital campaigns (support/execution). Comfort working with marketing data operations tools (e.g., RingLead or similar). Basic HTML/CSS knowledge and ability to troubleshoot digital assets. Ability to design, document, and improve repeatable operational processes and QA/testing practices.
