Marketing Operations & Automation Specialist - Remote seated anywhere in USA Marketing Operations & Automation Specialist Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract, 6+ Months with Potential Extension POSITION SUMMARY The Marketing Operations & Automation Specialist is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for supporting marketing operations, marketing automation, and digital campaign execution. This position focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing automated marketing workflows, improving operational efficiency, managing marketing data, and supporting campaigns across email, landing pages, and paid advertising. Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, this role ensures marketing processes are efficient, scalable, and repeatable while maintaining campaign quality, data accuracy, and actionable performance reporting. The ideal candidate will proactively identify process improvements, independently troubleshoot issues, optimize marketing technology platforms, and explore emerging AI-driven tools to enhance marketing operations and digital content creation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage day-to-day marketing operations, including configuring, executing, maintaining, and optimizing automated marketing workflows across platforms such as Eloqua, HubSpot, and integrated CRM systems. Build and improve scalable marketing automation processes that support campaign execution, lead management, segmentation, and operational efficiency. Manage marketing data operations, including list uploads, data processing, segmentation, routing, cleansing, and validation using ZoomInfo RingLead or similar tools. Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and quality across marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and integrated marketing technologies. Build, test, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize email marketing campaigns while ensuring campaign quality and timely execution. Create, maintain, and update digital landing pages using no-code or low-code platforms such as Ion or similar tools. Support digital advertising campaigns, including campaign setup, asset coordination, tracking implementation, monitoring, and performance measurement. Develop and maintain marketing dashboards and performance reports by integrating data from multiple marketing, CRM, and analytics platforms. Analyze marketing performance data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights aligned with campaign objectives and business priorities. Explore and implement AI-powered marketing tools to improve workflow automation, content generation, video creation, and operational scalability. Partner with marketing leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate, implement, integrate, and optimize marketing technology platforms and processes. Identify workflow inefficiencies, troubleshoot marketing technology issues, and recommend improvements that increase productivity and campaign effectiveness. Establish and maintain campaign testing, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and quality-control processes across marketing platforms. Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, best practices, and process guidelines for marketing workflows and campaign execution. Prioritize scalable, repeatable marketing processes that improve consistency, operational performance, and long-term efficiency. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in marketing operations, marketing automation, digital marketing, or a closely related role. Experience using marketing automation platforms such as Eloqua, HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or similar technologies. Demonstrated experience building, configuring, managing, and optimizing automated marketing workflows. Hands-on experience executing email marketing campaigns, developing landing pages, and supporting digital marketing initiatives. Experience with marketing data management, segmentation, list processing, and CRM integrations. Working knowledge of marketing analytics, dashboard development, performance reporting, and data integration. Experience supporting campaign quality assurance, testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement. Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools or demonstrated ability to learn and apply emerging automation technologies.
