In the role of Human Resources Generalist, we'll count on you to:
  • Assist the Area HR Manager and area HR team with a variety of HR-related tasks.
  • Use corporate systems to maintain employee records and process personnel actions.

  • Coordinate and conduct new hire Onboarding and Offboarding as needed.

  • Conduct new hire check-ins and identify opportunities to improve the onboarding experience.

  • Monitor completion of onboarding activities and required training.

  • Coordinate employee departures and ensure completion of offboarding requirements.

  • Provide completed employee paperwork to corporate office.

  • Review employee queries periodically for accuracy of information.

  • Prepare and maintain monthly HR reports, track key workforce metrics, and ensure accuracy of employee data to support HR and business needs.

  • Provide guidance on company policies, procedures and HR practices.

  • Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and other HR functions to resolve employee questions and ensure accurate processing.

  • Assist with the coordination of professional development training for staff.

  • Provide guidance to human resource representatives.

  • Provide guidance on routine employee relations matters, escalating moderate to complex issues as needed.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline or digitize HR processes and improve efficiency.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Diversity and Inclusion
  • Focus on driving and supporting an inclusive work environment and on integrating diversity and equity into everyday business.
  • Assist with diversity, equity and inclusion functions and positive initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Understand basic HDR benefit plan provisions, in order to assist employees with benefit-related questions and issues and refer more complex questions to Area HR Manager.
Recruitment & Early Career Programs
  • Coordinate candidate screening, interview scheduling, selection, and hiring activities for summer interns in partnership with recruiters and hiring managers.

  • Draft, review, and post job descriptions and employment opportunities through appropriate recruiting channels.

  • Support university and early-career recruiting efforts, including career fair planning, school partnerships, recruiting events, and candidate follow-up.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field

  • PHR, SHRM-CP Certification or similar HR Certification

  • Experience supporting employees and managers across multiple HR functions

  • Experience supporting multiple business groups, departments or geographic locations

  • Experience with HRIS and other HR technology platforms

  • Knowledge of federal, California and local employment laws and HR best practices

  • Ability to build effective relationships with employees and managers

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to identify practical solutions

  • Strong communication, consultation and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader HR team

  • This role is based in our San Francisco office, with occasional travel to other locations as needed to support employees, managers, and business activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum three years related experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication including proofreading, strong client service ability and excellent telephone skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $84,270.00 - $126,100.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
