DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports the secure and organized operation of an active military installation. It involves important administrative and screening tasks that help maintain safety and accurate records. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Entry Screening: Check entrants by accessing state and federal databases to verify eligibility to enter the installation
- Record Management: Gather information from multiple databases and maintain accurate records according to laws and policies
- Confidentiality Protection: Safeguard all sensitive information and ensure that it is not shared with unauthorized individuals
- Reporting Tasks: Prepare reports, maintain logs, and complete required forms for daily operations
- Visitor Support: Issue visitor passes and provide directions to individuals entering the installation
- Team Assistance: Assist police department and force protection staff by sharing information and reporting emergencies

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap. You must maintain an Automated Installation Entry (AIE) card once it is issued. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must obtain an active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job.
