Advises Upward Bound Program participants concerning academic performance, college preparation and college success, financial management, and career counseling. Identifies eligible program participants; reports and document demographics of target schools, program enrollment, students contacts, matriculation, and other program activities; assist in coordination and supervision of applicable summer residential and academic year components which include overnight and multi-day travel. Assists with the development and delivery of academic, career, and postsecondary workshops for enrolled participants. Duties Develop, implement, and evaluate academic services including workshops, assessments, and tutorial sessions. Including summer programming and Saturday morning classes as applicable. Devlop, implement and evaluates appropriate recruitment/retention activities. Completes accurate and timely documentation of services and other reporting. Requirements Bachelors' Degree required. 1+ years' experience required; prior advising, university and/or student counseling experience preferred Experience in an academic environment Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instruction for individuals and groups Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
