Freelance VP Group Director, Integrated Strategy

The VP Group Director, Integrated Strategy is a senior strategic leader responsible for driving integrated strategic excellence across the GENICOS business. This role serves as the strategic connector across Brand Strategy, Medical Strategy, OCX and will work in collaboration with Creative and account leadership, ensuring all strategic perspectives work together to deliver cohesive, differentiated, and commercially impactful solutions.

This is a contract position with the potential for future full-time employment, offering an opportunity to shape and elevate the strategic direction of a high-profile brands within the GENICOS portfolio.

The VP Group Director will oversee strategic quality, lead cross-disciplinary integration, support business growth initiatives, mentor strategic talent, and build strong partnerships with senior clients and internal stakeholders. This individual will play a critical role in strengthening strategic rigor, fostering innovation, and advancing business outcomes across the GENICOS portfolio.

The VP Group Director:

• Provides senior strategic leadership across the GENICOS business.
• Oversees integrated strategy across multiple brands, stakeholders, and workstreams.
• Establishes high standards for strategic quality, integration, and effectiveness.
• Connects strategic thinking to client success, business growth, and market differentiation.
• Develops strategic talent and supports capability-building across teams.
• Serves as a trusted strategic advisor to senior clients and agency leadership.
  

Required

• Bachelor's or advanced business degree
• 12+ years of experience in strategy, planning, healthcare communications, OCX/customer experience, or related disciplines
• Demonstrated success leading integrated strategic functions across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence executive clients and senior leadership teams.
• Experience managing complex business portfolios and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while balancing strategic excellence with evolving business needs.

Preferred

• Experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries; therapeutic experience in rare oncology / rare disease.
• Agency experience leading integrated strategic teams.
• Expertise across Brand Strategy and CX/Omnichannel Strategy.
• Experience supporting large-scale business growth initiatives and new business opportunities.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $135.00 - $150.00 but may vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
