This position is a 2-year term appointment with the possibility for extension. Summary Statement: Under limited supervision the Personnel Security Specialist II executes elements of the personnel security program, enforces security policies and procedures in compliance with 32 CFR PART 117 National Industrial Security Operations Procedures Manual (NISPOM) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD). This role is responsible for the oversight of data entry and integrity in Security Information Management System (SIMS) database. Utilizes Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) and other databases and tracking systems to perform a variety of personnel security actions. Participates in preparing for security reviews conducted by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other US Government agencies. Provides personnel security guidance to IDA HQ, SAC and STPI staff. Primary Responsibilities: *Performs as a primary user of DISS and NBIS. *Assists with personnel security education, training, and awareness programs. *Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Compensation: We support transparency, equity, and fairness in our compensation program and provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range based on data-driven market analysis for each position. While it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $62,118 - $99,389. Individual salary within this range will be commensurate with the incumbent's experience, unique skills and qualifications, and other relevant factors.
