Job Duties

• Remove and replace forklift and industrial equipment batteries using battery handling equipment.
• Charge batteries according to company procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect batteries for damage, leaks, corrosion, or other maintenance issues.
• Clean battery tops, terminals, and charging areas as needed.
• Monitor battery charging stations and maintain charging records.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on batteries and charging equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized battery room and work area.
• Assist warehouse personnel with battery-related needs and equipment readiness.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
• Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality, safety, professionalism, and dependable attendance.
• Ability to learn new processes, procedures, equipment, or software as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, forklift, or battery maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate battery-changing equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to industrial batteries and electrical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Individuals who demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are well positioned for success as a Warehouse Battery Associate.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy battery handling equipment.
• Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery and battery charging systems.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
