| Position Highlights |
The Training & Development Associate is part of the Finance & Budget Administration team and works closely with the Training & Development Lead to provide training to campus on behalf of Finance & Budget as well as development opportunities for Finance & Budget employees. This role will aid in providing training, materials and resources, and change management support to campus users, helping bridge the gap between central administration units and colleges. Additionally, their work is integral to supporting the Finance & Budget strategic pillar: "Develop our Team," helping provide professional development and growth opportunities for Finance & Budget employees. The person in this role provides general administrative functions and assistance, which may include: communicating with internal and external stakeholders, preparing training outlines and presentation materials, organizing and maintaining training development project schedules, coordinating and occasionally leading or facilitating training events, composing correspondence and other documents, and analyzing data.

| Duties & Responsibilities |
Training Resource & Content Support:
- Prepare and update assigned training materials, presentations, job aids, guides, FAQs, and other resources using content and direction provided by the Training & Development Lead and subject matter experts.
- Apply established templates, standards, and University policies to ensure materials are accurate, consistent, and appropriate for the intended audience.
- Compile and summarize participant feedback, surveys, routine inquiries, and recurring knowledge gaps for review by the Training & Development Lead.
- Maintain and organize existing training resources and materials to ensure content remains current and accessible.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to gather information and materials needed for assigned training projects.
Training & Development Coordination:
- Coordinate schedules, timelines, due dates, materials, logistics, and communications for assigned training and development initiatives.
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources to support development of approved training.
- Coordinate registrations, participant communications, meeting arrangements, and other administrative components of training delivery.
Training Delivery & Participant Support:
- Facilitate assigned routine training sessions or portions of training using approved content and materials.
- Prepare and compile presentation materials and participant resources.
- Answer Tier 1/routine questions and supports training team during presentations; provide follow-up information and Q&A summaries and materials.
- Assists with Finance & Budget's internal development programs such as the Supervisor Series, Round-Table Discussions, and mentorship programs.
Program & Change Support:
- Prepare approved communications, resources, and training materials that support change initiatives.
- Track participation, feedback, action items, and follow-up activities associated with training and development programs.
- Identify recurring questions or knowledge gaps through routine interactions and elevate themes to the Training & Development Lead for review.
- Provide coordination and logistical support for Finance & Budget Administration initiatives, events, and employee-development activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to establish rapport with and gain trust of others and to establish cooperative working relationships with various staff and campus community.
- Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and support the implementation of effective solutions for continuous improvement.
- Organization & Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and stakeholders to meet deadlines.
- Active Listening: Paying close attention to learner questions, recognizing confusion, and adjusting explanations in real time.
- Public Speaking & Facilitation: Delivering clear, dynamic presentations in person and via virtual meeting tools.
- Ability to connect with learners of all skill levels and build a safe, supportive environment for questions.
- Ability to translate complex technical or corporate concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing and editing training materials, presentations, and web pages.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Three or more years of University of Arizona experience, including experience applying financial and procurement policies and procedures.
- Experience using the University of Arizona enterprise systems (Financials, Analytics, Employee, Travel & Expense).
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office Suites (PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience with Articulate training software or other training platforms.
- Experience with meeting/presentation facilitation.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
