Clinical Psychiatrist - Psychiatric Emergency Services & Consultation-Liaison

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking aClinical Psychiatristto provide high-quality psychiatric care within Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) and Consultation-Liaison services. The psychiatrist will evaluate and treat patients, develop treatment plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support the delivery of safe, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and ensure timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and community or institutional partners as appropriate.
• Participate in multidisciplinary, departmental, and hospital meetings and initiatives.
• Contribute to quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and program development.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and other trainees.
• Maintain CME and hospital medical staff requirements.
• Participate in Medicare and applicable insurance plans as required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
• New York State medical license.
• Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation: $275,000-$300,000

The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
