JOB TITLE: Senior Director, Global Commercialization

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director, Global Commercialization is the downstream marketing leader responsible for maximizing the commercial success of Terumo BCT's portfolio by enabling regional commercial teams to effectively launch, position, and grow solutions worldwide. This leader ensures that offerings, pricing, messaging, and sales enablement tools are aligned to customer needs, market dynamics, and the realities of how we sell.

This role requires deep understanding of the customer journey, regional commercial operations, and the unique cultural nuances across global markets. The Senior Director leads a team of global marketers who partner closely with regional commercial organizations, Commercial Excellence, Strategic Marketing, Platform Lifecycle Management, Marketing & Communication and Patient Access to deliver seamless, highimpact commercialization support and brand recognition. The Senior Director is also responsible for ensuring that regional market needs and key market trends are effectively represented and integrated into Strategic Marketing priorities.

Success in this role means regions are equipped to win with differentiated positioning, worldclass sales enablement, strong pricing guidance, and launch excellence that accelerates adoption and portfolio growth. Equally important is ensuring that regional needs are effectively represented and integrated into the priorities of both Strategic Marketing and Platform Lifecycle Management globally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Enable Regions to Win & Accelerate Adoption



  • Develop differentiated positioning, value propositions, messaging, and customer engagement strategies that balance global consistency with regional market needs.
  • Strengthen global awareness and recognition of our portfolio, partnering with Marketing Communications to translate portfolio value into compelling, consistent market-facing communications.
  • Drive launch excellence, ensuring effective knowledge transfer, market readiness, and execution to accelerate penetration and adoption.
  • Lead Global Scientific Marketing to drive awareness on the value proposition of our portfolio and ultimately its global adoption.
  • Ensure commercialization strategies reflect customer workflows, decision drivers, pain points, and the realities of how we sell.


Maximize Commercial Portfolio Value



  • Develop pricing guidance and value-based pricing strategies that strengthen competitiveness and profitability.
  • Monitor commercial portfolio performance and identify opportunities to accelerate growth, improve adoption, and optimize portfolio value.
  • Support portfolio optimization, including country exclusion and other commercial performance interventions where appropriate.
  • Prioritize commercialization resources and activities toward the opportunities with the greatest potential to drive adoption, differentiation, and portfolio growth.



Connect the Enterprise to the Market



  • Serve as the primary global interface with regional commercial organizations, ensuring strong two-way communication and alignment between enterprise and regional teams.
  • Capture and synthesize Voice of Customer, regional market needs, competitive insights, and market trends to inform Strategic Marketing and PLM.
  • Represent regional commercial perspectives within New Opportunity Assessment teams, bringing customer needs, market dynamics, adoption considerations, and commercial requirements into Project Charter development.
  • Partner closely with Strategic Marketing, PLM, Commercial Excellence, Regional Marketing, Sales Leadership, and other functions to align enterprise priorities with market realities.
  • Connect regional teams to share best practices, cross-pollinate ideas, and scale successful approaches across markets.



Lead & Develop Commercialization Capability



  • Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing global team of commercialization leaders with strong customer understanding, commercial execution, and regional partnership capabilities.
  • Strengthen team capability in positioning, pricing, sales enablement, launch excellence, and customer engagement.
  • Foster a culture of customer empathy, curiosity, accountability, and disciplined prioritization.
  • Elevate commercialization capability across the broader Commercial organization through common frameworks, tools, training, and best-practice sharing.
  • Strengthen connectivity across global and regional marketing teams, creating shared accountability for commercialization outcomes and market success.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

Experience



  • Minimum 15 years of experience in downstream marketing, commercialization, or regional marketing roles.
  • Regional marketing or onsite commercial experience required (must understand how selling actually happens).
  • Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success enabling sales organizations and driving adoption of complex solutions globally.
  • Strong pricing, positioning, and sales enablement experience.
  • Proven ability to lead global teams and partner across highly matrixed organizations.

Target Pay Range:$236,400.00to$295,500.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:40.0%
