Ensure that the Barilla dry pasta plants, semolina mills under his/her responsibility constantlycomply with the food safety management systems defined by the Company and with theinternational standard for food safety. Coordinate and support the plants' Q&T managers to usethe right tools to deliver compliant product and continuously improve the quality of the productsand the efficiency of the systems. Identify through visit, audits and data analysis the improvementneeded and ensure achievements of the results for both internal sites.

This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook, IL.

• Ensure the implementation of corporate policies and procedures for quality and food safety (i.e. Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Integrated Pest Management, Food defense....) in: Plants (Ames w/mill, Avon, and Montreal); through the development of a deep understanding of Q&FS tools supporting the growth of plants' quality and food safety team. Define improvement plans to meet corporate commitment leading their implementation.
• Regularly check the level of compliance and assure the identification and execution of action plans in case of misalignment.
• Ensure training in plants about international standard FSSC22000, organize the internal audit program for the plants.
• Analyze the data regarding both Barilla Plants (complaints from customer and consumers, lot quality index...) to identify drifts and possible area of improvements.
• Lead working teams addressing specific improvement plans and problem solving with resources from all functions involved including plants.
• Support the activity of quality control in the plants.
• Check surveillance plans based on risk assessment and data review suggesting possible improvements.
• Contribute in collaboration with R&D, MKTG, Operations and Q&T Plant Managers to have new products and up-grading designed in line with Q&FS company rules.
• Identify and lead Culture of quality initiatives including Regional PQR and contribute to plants' product quality reviews

• Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry
• HACCP certification
• PCQI / FSMA certification
• GFSI Lead Auditor (FSSC, SQF, BRC, and/or other equivalent) certification
• Must be organized, collaborative, results-oriented, and possess strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and adversity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must demonstrate a passion for food, and curiosity around potential challenges.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Cloud-Based software, and SAP (preferred).
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time in US and Canada with the potential for an internationaltrip outside of North America.

As of the date of this posting, the estimated pay range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 plus eligibility to participate in the annual discretionary bonus plan. The actual pay for the position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity. This range may be subject to change over time.
