Location: Rosedale Office BuildingDepartment: Technology ServicesShift: First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours: 40Summary: The Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) is an emerging IT professional who installs and maintains the Epic operational database. The Database Administrator is proficient in Linux platform and IRIS servers. The Database Administrator's responsibilities include: monitoring database server performance and troubleshooting issues; applying hot fixes, security updates, and service packs; maintaining database backups and verifying restores; managing security; managing and maintaining the ODB environments that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs; creating and maintaining database objects; testing failover procedures for high availability; engaging in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources; and following Epic best practices for hardware and software configuration. Forms productive relationships with customers by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively. Participates on project teams as a key contributor. Responsible for relationship with Epic and opening and coordinating issues with Epic. Responsible for writing fundamental documentation in a clear, concise manner, adhering to standards. Must be available for support by pager or telephone 24 hours per day x 7 days per week. Qualification:
