The Department of Surgery at NYU Langone Health is seeking a dynamic, full-time accomplished, academic surgeon-leader to serve as Chief, Acute Care Surgery at its Manhattan campus. This position provides clinical and administrative leadership for Emergency General Surgery (EGS) and Surgical Critical Care , at one of the nation's leading quaternary referral centers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical and technical skills, have exceptional outcomes, and take a collaborative approach to patient care. The selected candidate must be collaborative and be able to interact well with colleagues inside and outside the division. Note: the Manhattan campus is not a designated trauma center. Qualifications * MD or DO, board certified in General Surgery * Board certified in Surgical Critical Care * Fellowship training in Acute Care Surgery preferred * Established leadership experience in Acute Care Surgery (EGS and / or Surgical Critical Care) within an academic medical center * Strong EGS robotic experience preferred * Eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine NYU Langone Healthis an equal opportunity employer and committed to inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
