Senior Endpoint Engineer

Location: Remote

We are seeking a Senior Endpoint Engineer to manage the endpoint management platforms that power Cianbro's digital workplace. Reporting to the Director of IT End User Services, this hands-on role supports office, remote, mobile, and field-based users through modern endpoint management, best-practices and platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise and a platform engineering mindset, taking pride in delivering exceptional technology experiences through automation, disciplined change management, strong documentation, and continuous improvement.

This role is responsible for delivering secure, standardized, scalable, and automated endpoint services that improve reliability and usability of endpoints across Cianbro's distributed workforce. The wage range for this position is $1,500.00 to $1,800.00 per week. Compensation will be determined based on knowledge and experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Build, configure and maintain endpoint management capabilities using Intune, Autopilot, Absolute, RMM platforms, patch management, and related tools.
• Use controlled management techniques to reliably test and deploy profiles, policies, applications, and remediations.
• Manage endpoint lifecycle from zero-touch provisioning and enrollment through recovery, redeployment and end of life.
• Develop reporting, experience monitoring, and analytics to measure and improve device health, reliability, usability, security and compliance.
• Develop and maintain standards, documentation, inventory, runbooks, configuration records, and lifecycle practices in accordance with approved enterprise standards.
• Partner with internal and external teams as required to ensure enterprise requirements are met.
• Serve as a senior technical resource for the Endpoint Engineering function, providing guidance, mentoring, and work direction to junior team members.
• Regular travel to offices and jobsites to meet with team members and evaluate/assess real-world experiences.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 5+ years experience in endpoint management, modern workplace engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related enterprise IT roles, with demonstrated experience managing endpoint standards, automation, lifecycle processes, usability, and operational reliability.
• 5+ years incremental hands-on experience managing Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and patch management in an enterprise Microsoft 365 environment with Windows and Apple iOS devices. Absolute endpoint experience preferred.
• Skilled in endpoint management best practices covering enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance state management, application deployment, updates and patching, endpoint security policies, automated remediation, policy testing, reporting, support, and zero-touch provisioning.
• Solid understanding of identity-based Zero-trust concepts, Conditional Access, Microsoft Entra, policy lifecycle management, endpoint posture and security
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-management skills for complex endpoint deployment, configuration, compliance, application, recovery, reporting, and user-experience issues.
• Experience engineering for remote, distributed, highly mobile endpoints with intermittent connectivity.
• Preferred qualifications include Microsoft certifications or equivalent experience in endpoint administration, M365, modern workplace engineering, identity, and security.
• Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, endpoint security tools, device recovery tools, and digital experience measurement platforms.
