Maintenance Technician

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical maintenance, or related fields is a plus.
• Ability to read maintenance documentation, equipment manuals, and standard operating procedures.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or equipment repair experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting production equipment, conveyors, inserters, forklifts, and automated machinery.
• Experience running air lines, conduit, and wiring for new or relocated equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance, and equipment reliability practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision.
• Leadership skills with experience training, coaching, and mentoring maintenance technicians.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to identify process improvements and recommend equipment or maintenance enhancements.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Comfortable working around production equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as business needs require.
• Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude required for equipment repair and maintenance activities.

Job Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
• Respond to equipment issues and production line stoppages to quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and material-related problems.
• Conduct machine setups and support production operations to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Install replacement parts, perform repairs, and make necessary equipment adjustments.
• Lubricate machinery and complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and work documentation.
• Assist operators with equipment troubleshooting and technical support.
• Train and mentor maintenance team members on troubleshooting techniques, preventive maintenance procedures, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
