| Manufacturing Production Painting work focuses on coating surfaces of manufactured parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective and/or decorative materials (e.g., paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, or stain) including: Setting up and operating painting/coating equipment (e.g., spray machines, dippers, painting control systems, etc.). Cleaning, sanding, and/or masking surface to be painted. Selecting and mixing coating material. Monitoring painting system control panels and inspecting individual items to verify quality. A Support 1 is an entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience. Responsibilities typically include: Work is routine or follows standard procedures.. Work is closely supervised.. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation. | |
