Technician III - Industrial Mechanical, 3rd Shift

Job Title:Technician III - Industrial Mechanical

Location:Richmond, VA

What we are looking for:

A Technician III - Industrial Mechanical will have experience in a manufacturing environment installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, as well as the physical structure of an industrial facility.

Essential Competencies:

-Observe and inspect our machinery and facility and to make recommendations for changes in procedures and structures.

-Install, maintain, inspect, and initiate repairs and correction of machinery and equipment.

-Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, electrical and electronic components of automated machinery.

-Locate parts and prices to effect repairs, complete required forms for purchases.

-Use the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose and repair equipment.

-Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and associated equipment.

-Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed using Fixx work order system.

-Keep work area in clean, safe, and orderly manner

-Operate forklift or boom lift.

-Other duties as assigned

Minimum Quantifiable Competencies:

* High School Diploma or GED

* 4+ years in Industrial Mechanical/Machinist

* 4 years or more in machine based Industrial Electrical/Electronics,

* Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.

* Ability to operate various Saws, drills, bench tools and hand tools.

* Familiar with work order systems

Preferred Competencies:

* Certification

* High School and Trade School or Apprenticeship.

Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements:

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.

* The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.

* The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

* The employee must be able to work at heights over 100 feet occasionally.

* Occasional overtime and extended hours are required.
