Position Summary
90% Research
The researcher will carry out experiments to understand electron transfer to nitrogenase.

5% General lab maintenance
The researcher will be required for helping to maintain ongoing operations in the lab including media preparation, ordering, updating chemical inventory, etc., as needed.

5% Presentation of data
The researcher is expected to present their findings at weekly group meetings and at local meetings.

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years
• Previous experience in anaerobic microbiology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with molecular techniques such as PCR and cloning is a plus.
• 1 year of experience with review of data for qualitative themes.
• 1 year of experience with sterile technique, basic statistical competency, good communication, and collaboration skills.

Pay Range: $21.00/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience
