Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

The Full-Time Janitor is
responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across all
three buildings of the facility, including office areas, restrooms,
breakrooms/kitchenettes, manufacturing/production spaces, and exterior facility
areas. This role requires the ability to work independently, follow established
cleaning schedules, and adapt cleaning activities around ongoing production
operations while adhering to all company safety policies.

Essential Duties Responsibilities and Competencies:

Daily Duties
Remove trash from restrooms, offices, and breakrooms daily.
Clean and stock all 8 restrooms daily (clean sinks, mirrors, and toilets; replace toilet paper and paper towels).
Wipe down and clean all 5 kitchenettes/breakrooms daily (clean sink, counters, and microwave; restock paper towels).
Empty and reline trash cans and recycling bins throughout all 3 buildings.
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, doors, light switches, handrails).
Wipe down and sanitize breakroom tables and chairs.
Sweep and clean exterior entrances, walkways, and loading dock areas.
Sweep and clean production/shop floor areas.
Clean up spills (water, oil, coolant, etc.) promptly and place appropriate caution signage.
Dispose of manufacturing debris (scrap, packaging waste, shavings) in designated bins.
Restock hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility as needed.

This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Ottawa Kansas location.

Qualifications

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions,
short correspondence, and memos. Ability
to write simple correspondence. Ability
to effectively communicate in one-on-one situations to employees.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry
out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving
several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Basic operating system navigation and file
management.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree
(GED). A minimum of one (1) year
similar experience or training in an office environment; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is regularly required to sit; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently
required to stand and walk.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is typical of
a machine shop.
