What You'll Do
As a Pregnancy Support Coordinator, you will be part of our Pregnancy and Parenting Support Program. The program works to increase healthy birth outcomes among at-risk, low-income families by helping expectant parents build tools for good decision-making. You will walk alongside expectant parents as they carefully explore all their options and make a thoughtful plan for their baby, whether that is an adoption plan or a parenting plan. Services are comprehensive, confidential, free to clients, and open to people of all faiths. You will serve the ten counties of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and meet with clients in their homes, at one of our offices, or in the community.

• Prepare Parents for Safe, Successful Parenting: Provide education and support that helps individuals get ready for a healthy pregnancy and confident parenting.
• Connect Clients to Community Resources: Give direct assistance or refer clients to resources such as Prenatal Care Coordination (PNCC) and supplemental nutrition programs.
• Offer Life-Affirming Emotional Support: Provide guidance, knowledge, and compassionate emotional support throughout each client's pregnancy.
• Guide Thoughtful Decision-Making: Help expectant parents explore all their options and create an appropriate plan for their baby, whether adoption or parenting.
• Meet Clients Where They Are: Meet with clients in their homes, in our offices, or in the community to provide consistent, confidential support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field required.
• Two years of experience in family services or health care, ideally focused on prenatal care and child development, preferred.
• Prior experience at a not-for-profit agency preferred.
• Travel to client homes and community locations required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle liability insurance of $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident required.
