Phlebotomist II Location: Hyattsville, MD 20783 Duration: 4+ months (Potential for Conversion) Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite Interview: Onsite interview with Hiring Manager Work Schedule Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM at PSC, Hyattsville, MD Friday: 7:30 AM-4:30 PM at IOP, Hyattsville, MD Note: The Hiring Manager is specifically seeking candidates located in Prince George's County or the Washington, DC area and does not prefer candidates from Baltimore, MD. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to support patient care across two Hyattsville, MD locations. The selected candidate will perform blood draws across a pediatric through geriatric patient population, while also supporting patient registration and specimen processing. The candidate must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. On Fridays, the candidate will work independently at the IOP location and will draw approximately 10-15 patients per day. Key Responsibilities Perform blood draws on patients ranging from pediatric through geriatric age groups. Perform patient registration and accurately collect and update patient information. Perform specimen processing according to established procedures. Work Monday through Thursday at the PSC location as part of the site team. Work independently at the IOP location on Fridays. Perform glucose testing at the IOP location. Handle approximately 10-15 patients per day at the Friday IOP location. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling patient and specimen information. Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and other members of the healthcare team. Follow established procedures for patient care, specimen handling, and workplace safety. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Phlebotomy experience with the ability to draw patients from pediatric through geriatric age groups. Experience with patient registration. Experience with specimen processing. Ability to perform glucose testing. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Color vision is required. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish. Strong specimen processing experience. Experience working independently in a patient service setting. | |
