Overview

Coborn's Inc. is looking for a Quality Assurance & Sanitation Supervisor to provide hands-on leadership within our Food Production operation. In this role, you'll lead our Quality Assurance and Sanitation teams, help ensure our products consistently meet our quality expectations, and partner across the operation to maintain high standards for cleanliness, food safety, and continuous improvement.

As an Employee Owner, the work you do has a direct connection to the success of our company. You'll be empowered to identify opportunities, solve problems, develop your team, and make decisions with the long-term success of our operation, our guests, and your fellow Employee Owners in mind.

If you're someone who takes ownership, enjoys developing people, and believes quality is everyone's responsibility, this could be a great opportunity to grow your career with Coborn's.

What You'll Do

As our Quality Assurance & Sanitation Supervisor, you'll provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of Quality Assurance and Sanitation activities within our production facility.

  • Lead, coach, and develop Quality Assurance and Sanitation team members while establishing clear expectations and accountability.
  • Oversee daily QA activities to ensure products meet established quality standards, specifications, and sensory expectations.
  • Conduct and oversee product, process, and production-floor inspections.
  • Monitor product consistency and identify, document, and communicate quality concerns, deviations, defects, and trends.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily sanitation activities to ensure production areas, equipment, and facilities meet established cleaning standards and schedules.
  • Ensure established sanitation procedures and SSOPs are consistently followed.
  • Conduct or oversee pre-operational inspections and sanitation verification activities.
  • Monitor sanitation effectiveness, environmental monitoring activities, and allergen cleaning and changeover procedures.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Plant Leadership to investigate concerns, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Support product evaluations, quality testing, shelf-life activities, guest complaints, product holds, rejects, rework, and disposition activities.
  • Support internal, guest, regulatory, and third-party audits by maintaining strong audit readiness and accurate documentation.
  • Provide training and reinforcement related to quality standards, GMPs, sanitation procedures, SSOPs, allergen controls, inspections, and other applicable requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely QA, sanitation, environmental monitoring, corrective action, and audit documentation.
  • Help build a culture where Employee Owners take pride in quality, sanitation, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Why You'll Love This Role

This is more than a position focused on checking boxes and enforcing standards. You'll have the opportunity to influence how our products are made, how our teams work together, and how we continue improving our operation.

As an Employee Owner, you'll be encouraged to look beyond the immediate issue and consider what is best for our guests, our fellow Employee Owners, and the long-term success of our company.

  • Lead and develop a team that plays an important role in our production operation.
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Food Safety, and Plant Leadership.
  • Have a direct impact on product quality and the experience our guests have with Coborn's products.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and help turn them into meaningful change.
  • Build your knowledge of food production, quality assurance, sanitation, and food safety.
  • Take ownership of your work and see the impact of your decisions throughout the operation.
  • Grow your career with a company that believes in developing and promoting its Employee Owners.
